ATMs are commonly found at banks throughout Charlottetown. Major credit cards are widely accepted.
Opening hours shopping / banking: Department stores and downtown shops are within 10 minutes walking distance from the port.
Weekdays: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (on Fridays some shops stay open until 8:00 p.m.)
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Selected stores/shops open some Sundays - check locally
Climate:Summer daytime temperatures usually range around high 20°C (70°F) to mid 30°C (90°F), with minimal humidity. Autumn is clear and bright, with temperatures from 8°C to 22°C (46°F to 72°F). You will need a hat and mitts if you come to enjoy wintertime as temperatures can range from -3°C to - 22°C (25°F to 11°F). Spring is comfortable much like fall; 8°C to 22°C (46°F to 72°F). We’re a three season cruise destination – Spring, Summer and Fall.
Tipping/Tax:Service charges are not automatically added to hotel and restaurant bills. Tipping for outstanding service is a matter of choice.
